Spiderwebs, No Doubt!:
In this hands-on session we will be using a special “mandala” (Dot-Art) technique on a complex curve! You’ll learn how to apply faux finishes to give your bowl the appearance of a wood grain, with a live edge, enhancing depth of field as we wander into the third dimension. We will explore different methods and materials to create these visual effects, such as:
- Tips for baking 3D cookies
- Working with royal icing and edible paint on a curved surface
- Painting and shading with gel coloring
- Improvising intricate looking details with simple techniques
Best of all, every student will leave this session with all the tools featured in class, so you can continue to hone your skills and, no doubt, apply the learned concepts to your next masterpiece. All levels of cookiers are welcome!
